Africa BIoT Labs is a Non-profit organization registered in Nigeria and United Republic of Tanzania with the sole aim of fostering adoption of Blockchain technology and Internet of things across Africa through research, innovation and solution deployment through startup initiatives. The Lab was founded by the founders of Jelurida Africa, Africa Blockchain Developer’s Call Series and the organizers of East Africa Blockchain Expedition among others with a full and part time team of blockchain developers and embedded system engineers among others.
At Africa BIoT Labs, we believe that real and needed solutions can be encouraged and inspired through capacity building and research-led innovations. Hence, we are investing in capacity building, research, innovative development, incubation, community building, among others.
Blockchain technology itself is a software-based solution, but when combined with IoT, it presents numerous software-hardware synergy possibilities. Fused together, blockchain will offer more solutions in diverse sectors and the Internet of Things innovations will finally have a solution to the security and scalability concern limiting broad adoption. BIoT labs is focusing on creating a viable learning, research and innovative environment physically and remotely for all to learn and deploy solutions for Africa.
